Greenery Wedding Inspiration

Lush greenery is always a great choice for weddings and events. And the best part is, with so many options and textures its easy to use and hard to go wrong. So whether you're using greenery as a stand alone theme or an accent color, green leaves and vines mix well with other florals and make for pretty watercolor designs.

Here is some great wedding inspiration from our styled shoot to help you incorporate greenery into your big day. We are so grateful that this shoot found its way onto several amazing wedding blogs!

Greenery for your invitations. The shoot featured our wedding invitation design in the Greenery Suite. You can use subtle greenery accents on your wedding stationery and reception signage to further tie your event together.

Light colored greenery. First things first, avoid the temptation to get overwhelmed by alllll the greenery options and pick a few that you like best. Some of our absolute favorites with a lighter green hue are Dusty Miller, Silver Dust and Succulents. Both Dusty Miller and Silver Dust have that super soft, felt like texture.

Dark colored greenery. Looking for a few deeper hues? Eucalyptus and more eucalyptus. Just give us alllll the eucalyptus and we'll be happy campers. But also, consider Magnolia Leaves, Ferns and Boxwood for dark leafy greenery.

Why do we love eucalyptus so much? Well for starters,  it comes in different varieties like silver dollar and true blue, but it also dries REALLY well. And if you have a hard time keeping houseplants alive, try dried eucalyptus in a pretty vase. (We may or may not be habitual houseplant killers)

Incorporating more leafy details. In addition to the centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres, you can add touches of greenery in unexpected places. Add a leaf to each place card with a drop of hot glue or write each guests' name right on a large leaf like a magnolia or banana leaf. And for extra styling, ask your photographer use greenery as an accent for your detail shots as Tiffany L. Johnson Photography did when capturing the stationery and shoes below.
