It's a Girl! Our Green and Pink Nursery
Welcome baby!
It's been a while since there was something new to read about here on the blog. No, we haven't taken a vow of silence around here. {wink} We have, however, had a new little addition... drum roll please! Enter our new, chubby-cheeked-baby!
Yep, you probably noticed the banner at the top of our site announcing we had a baby girl. You may also have noticed that that pesky banner also mentioned we weren't currently taking custom orders during our "Baby Break".
Now I will say that while we are still adjusting to life with two littles, we are again taking custom orders. {yay!} No extra charge for baby drool. Bonus. Just kidding, but all of our orders do come with a little token of appreciation for being a Raleigh Calligraphy customer.
Since we have a new baby around here I thought I'd share a little peek of the nursery we created while awaiting her arrival.
We used a soft green color for the walls with green bedding. Light green and pale pink were our color scheme for her nursery. I created a watercolor sign on a large, stretched canvas and then hand lettered our little one's name. The name sign hangs above the crib and I am thrilled with the way it turned out!
I couldn't find just the right mobile to fit the vision I had. I was picturing a soft colored, woodland inspired mobile. The type of place a fairy might live...
I know. I know. That's really specific and kind of a tall order for a mobile. So with that in mind I set out to create the mobile myself and I LOVE how it turned out! The mobile is so pretty you might not even notice the name sign beside it is slightly crooked. {wink}
Want to make your own fairy inspired floral mobile? Or just a gorgeous and ethereal floral wreath?
Check back later this month as I'll be sharing a tutorial on how to make this exact mobile. (UPDATED: see below for our other related DIYs!)
Do you use hand lettered signs to decorate your walls? What do they say?
